Symptom:
When you are in dedicated Box of windows and using a plesk and you are getting a page not found for a domain name while other domains are working fine in a same box.
All the setting you think are fine and even name server are pointing well then there is a chance of DNS misconfig.

Resolution: Editing the Plesk DNS zone database

When the DNS zone for a domain is managed via Plesk, the status for this domain in the dns_zone table of the database is temporarily set to a value of 2 (to lock it for any further changes) and is then set back to a value of 0 value when the changes are processed. If for some reason the process is interrupted (Plesk restarts for example) the status field value may not get changed back to 0 and stays as 2. Therefore any changes are no longer recorded until the status is changed back to 0.

Please note: to isolate database issues with Plesk and your own web services (MySQL or MS SQL), we recommend and setup Plesk to use MS Access databases. If you have setup Plesk to use MySQL or MS SQL databases you will need to use your preferred database viewer to find the necessary DNS zone table. You can view MS SQL instructions below.

1. To view and edit the Plesk DNS zone database you will need to use an MS Access database viewer such as MDBPlus, and then open up the pleskmain.db located at:

   C:\Program Files (x86)\Parallels\Plesk\admin\db – Note: password is the same as Plesk admin login.

2. Check dns_zone records for the problem domain’s entry (domain.com for example):
   1. if there are multiple entries for the same domain; remove the entry that has the incorrect setting of 2;
   2. if there is only one entry for the domain, adjust the value in the “status” column from 2 back to 0.
3. Save the database.
4. Go back into Plesk and navigate to the DNS zone settings tab for the affected domain.
5. Select “Restore Defaults” to rebuild the appropriate entries for the domain

You should now be able to resolve the domain correctly.

For Plesk installations setup to use MS SQL as the default Plesk database:

1. Login via MSSQL Server Management Studio Express or your preferred MS SQL management tool.
2. Expand the Plesk database.
3. Expand the “tables” section.
4. Scroll down to “dbo.dns_zone“, right-click on this and choose “open table”
5. Delete or modify the erroneous entry as in Step 2. above.

There is no further action required from customer side, All username & Password remains the same.
We will keep old server live until 27th Jan 2010 just in case, if any customer feels that their data is missing they can contact us before 27th Jan 2010.

NOTE : All Reseller / Customer who are using their private name server please update your Cname with new IP address. You can get new IP address by pinging ns7.netspaceindia.com and ns8.netspaceindia.com. In the event you need any help doing the same, then please contact support. Please note if you fail to do the same your site’s hosted on your private name server will go down.

In the process of migration from old server (delhi.netspaceindia.com ) to new server (newdelhi.netspaceindia.com) reference to our previous quote here.
We will like to inform  you that new server is live and in the event you are facing issue sending – receiving mails from your email account, follow this step to see if your account is migrated or not :

Step 1 : go to http://dnstool.in/index.php?domain=#my_domain_name#&cmd=ping
 (NOTE:  replace #my_domain_name#  with your actual domain name )

Step 2: if you see your  IP as 64.46.38.106 this mean your domain is moved to new server
(NOTE:  if you see your IP as 64.46.38.106 then make sure that you use your incoming and outgoing IP as 64.46.38.106)
if your IP is 64.46.38.106 and you are still facing issue then please contact support from http://www.netspaceindia.com/login_now.php?page=post

In the event your domain is not pointing to the above IP then you should wait until your account is migrated and new IP is reflected. However your site should be live in old server but the performance may be slow.

Due to a hard disk issue with current linux server (Detail Given Bellow) we have to add new upgraded version of server.  Due to which we have to migrate all account from old server to new server. Details are as mentioned :

Please note : If you are using private name server for this IP’s then we request you to please contact our support from http://www.netspaceindia.com/dedicated_support.php

We are following listed processes, to migrate accounts from old server to new server:
Step 1 :We will backup all account using IBM Tivoli Storage Manager system  (In case of any emergency)
Step 2: Install new server
Step 3: Move All Account from old server use backup if required.

What Action is required from customer?
We will be using old name server for new server so that no action is required from domain which are registered outside our network.

Migration Time :
The new server should be live by 21^st Jan 2010 and we will start the migration.

Please note we will try to keep down time to minimum however the hard disk of old server is behaving vary unstable there could be some hiccups in this process.

What is new in ASP.NET 3.5
Microsoft released ASP.NET 3.5 on November 19, 2007. Along with it, was released Visual Studio 2008. This evolution from ASP.NET 2.0 to ASP.NET 3.5 is quiet gradual. ASP.NET 3.5 uses the same engine as that of ASP.NET 2.0, with some extra features added on top of it. In this article, we will explore the new features added to ASP.NET 3.5. This article assumes that you have been working on ASP.NET 2.0.

New Features in ASP.NET 3.5

ASP.NET AJAX
In ASP.NET 2.0, ASP.NET AJAX was used as an extension to it. You had to download the extensions and install it. However in ASP.NET 3.5, ASP.NET AJAX is integrated into the .NET Framework, thereby making the process of building cool user interfaces easier and intuitive.
The integration between webparts and the update panel is much smoother. Another noticeable feature is that you can now add ASP.NET AJAX Control Extenders to the toolbox in VS2008. Even though this is an IDE specific feature, however I feel it deserves a mention over here for developers, who had to add extenders using source view earlier. It is also worth noting that Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) now supports JSON along with other standard protocols like  SOAP, RSS and POX.
New Controls
The ListView and DataPager are new controls added along with a new datasource control called the LinqDataSource.
ListView
The ListView control is quiet flexible and contains features of the Gridview, Datagrid, Repeater and similar list controls available in ASP.NET 2.0. It provides the ability to insert, delete, page (using Data Pager), sort and edit data. However one feature of the ListView control that stands apart, is that it gives you a great amount of flexibility over the markup generated. So you have a complete control on how the data is to be displayed. You can now render your data without using the <table> tag. You also get a rich set of templates with the ListView control.
DataPager
DataPager provides paging support to the ListView control. The best advantage is that you need not have to keep it ‘tied’ with the control on which the paging is being done. You can keep it anywhere on the page.
DataPager gives you a consistent way of paging with the controls that support it. Currently only ListView supports it as it implements the IPageableItemContainer. However support is likely to be added to other List controls as well.
LINQ
LINQ (Language Integrated Query) adds native data querying capability to C# and VB.NET along with the compiler and Intellisense support. LINQ is a component of .NET 3.5. LINQ defines operators that allow you to code your query in a consistent manner over databases, objects and XML.  The ASP.NET LinqDataSource control allows you to use LINQ to filter, order and group data before binding to the List controls.

ASP.NET Merge Tool
ASP.NET 3.5 includes a new merge tool (aspnet_merge.exe). This tool lets you combine and manage assemblies created by aspnet_compiler.exe. This tool was available earlier as an add-on.
New Assemblies
The new assemblies that would be of use to ASP.NET 3.5 developers are as follows:
·         System.Core.dll – Includes the implementation for LINQ to Objects
·         System.Data.Linq.dll – Includes the implementation for LINQ to SQL
·         System.Xml.Linq.dll – Includes the implementation for LINQ to XML
·         System.Data.DataSetExtensions.dll – Includes the implementation for LINQ to DataSet

Some Other Important Points
1.    ASP.NET 3.5 provides better support to IIS7. IIS7 and ASP.NET 3.5 modules and handlers support unified configuration.
2.    You can have multiple versions of ASP.NET on the same machine.
3.    For those who are wondering what happened to ASP.NET 3.0, well there isn’t anything called ASP.NET 3.0.
4.    VS 2002 worked with ASP.NET 1.0, VS 2003 worked with ASP.NET 1.1, and VS 2005 worked with ASP.NET 2.0. However VS 2008 supports multi-targeting, i.e it works with ASP.NET 2.0, and ASP.NET 3.5.

If you are using windows based dedicated server with plesk and getting a error like “530 User cannot log in, home directory inaccessible.”

The actual path to be follwed is C:\Program Files\Parallels\Plesk\admin\bin

for your FTP use this :

“%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe” –remove-all
“%plesk_bin%\ftpmng.exe” –reconfigure-all
